Hydraulic System Inspection

Examination of cylinders, holding valves, hoses and pressures that must hold a boom safely in position under load.

A structurally sound boom is only safe if the hydraulic system holds it reliably in position, and hydraulic system inspection verifies exactly that. We examine cylinders, holding and counterbalance valves, hoses, fittings and pressures to confirm the system controls the machine predictably and does not creep or drift under load. Hydraulic faults are a common cause of uncontrolled movement, so this inspection is central to safe operation.

What hydraulic inspection covers

Our engineers check cylinders for seal integrity and creep, verify that holding and counterbalance valves lock the load in position, and inspect hoses and fittings for damage, chafing and leaks. System pressures are checked against specification, and emergency lowering is confirmed to function.

Creep testing, where a loaded boom is held and observed for drift, is a key check: a boom that settles under a static load has a holding-valve or seal problem that must be resolved.
