What the audit examines

We review each machine's inspection currency, log book completeness, compliance plates and rating documentation against the requirements of the AS 1418 and AS 2550 families and the operator's WHS obligations. The output is a consolidated status for every asset, ranked by urgency, so management can prioritise action and budget.

The audit also identifies systemic issues, such as a servicing regime that consistently misses an interval or a class of machine that lacks documentation, that no single-machine inspection would reveal.

Why fleets need auditing

As a fleet grows, the risk shifts from any one machine to the system that manages them all. A principal contractor's audit, an insurer's review or an incident can expose whole categories of non-compliance at once. A proactive fleet audit finds and closes those gaps before they are found for you.

It also underpins WHS due diligence at the management level, demonstrating that the organisation actively verifies the compliance of its plant rather than assuming it.

How we conduct it

We work from the operator's asset register and records, verify against the machines and their documentation, and reconcile the two. Where machines are due or overdue, we schedule the required inspections; where documentation is missing, we advise what is needed to restore compliance.

The audit can be a one-off health check or an ongoing programme that keeps the fleet continuously current with scheduled reminders and reporting.

You receive a consolidated compliance report covering every machine, ranked by urgency, with clear actions and due dates, suitable for board-level WHS reporting and for demonstrating due diligence to principals and insurers.
