The compliance plate carries the rated capacity, identification and standard-conformity information that make a machine legally usable, and a missing, illegible or incorrect plate is a genuine compliance problem. Over years of service, plates corrode, are painted over, or are lost in repairs, leaving a machine that cannot prove its ratings. We assess compliance plates and, where the underlying information can be established, reinstate them so the machine is properly identified and rated.
Why compliance plates matter
The plate is the machine's identity and its statement of rated capacity. Without a legible, correct plate, an operator cannot know the safe working load, a principal contractor cannot verify compliance, and a regulator will treat the machine as non-compliant. It is one of the most common and most easily overlooked compliance failures.
A plate must also match the machine. A plate transferred from another unit, or one that no longer reflects a modification, is worse than no plate because it misstates the machine's ratings.

What we do
We assess the existing plate against the machine and its documentation, establish the correct rating and identification information from design records and inspection, and reinstate a plate that accurately reflects the machine. Where ratings cannot be confirmed, we advise what verification, such as design verification or load testing, is required first.
